Urban Tree Stewards Program 2012 Training Schedule
“Are you looking for an excuse to get out into your local park, get some exercise and do something for the environment? After being trained, the UTS volunteer will scout selected park areas and report concerns to the Park’s Tree Steward Program Coordinator or if an emergency, the Park's Service Center - we are asking that this be done at least 4 times a year, and after storm events (and/or as requested by staff). We are looking for at least a one year commitment. Volunteers will also be asked to assist in public relations and outreach for the Arboriculture Section and the Tree Steward program. The UTS volunteer should be comfortable using computers and email.”
